Orlando, FL — June 17–18, 2026 – Quantum3D, a provider of real-time visual simulation and synthetic training technologies, will showcase its MANTIS® image generation and simulation platform at the Training & Simulation Industry Symposium (TSIS) 2026 in Orlando, Florida, where it will demonstrate at Booth 18 capabilities for UAV mission training, sensor simulation, and AI-generated synthetic training environments supporting defense applications.

This year’s demonstration reflects a broader industry shift in which synthetic environments are increasingly becoming part of the underlying infrastructure for AI-driven defense and autonomy systems, rather than standalone training products.

As defense organizations move toward AI-enabled mission planning, distributed training, and simulation-based validation workflows, demand is growing for environment systems that can be generated, modified, and integrated directly into operational training and mission systems.

AI-Generated Synthetic Training Environments (CDB-Based Environment Infrastructure)

Quantum3D will demonstrate how MANTIS® supports AI-assisted generation of synthetic environments for integration into Common Database (CDB)-based simulation and training systems. Selected workflow elements are supported in collaboration with Blackshark and Olmos Technologies.

This capability includes:
• AI-assisted generation and modification of CDB-based environments
• Rapid creation of mission-relevant terrain and operational scenarios
• Iterative updates aligned with evolving mission requirements
• Integration into existing simulation and mission rehearsal systems

This reflects the shift toward synthetic environment production as an enabling layer for defense training systems and AI-enabled mission applications, supporting faster and more scalable generation of operational training content.

UAV / UAS / eVTOL Mission Training Simulator

The simulator is based on a real Ground Control Station (GCS) with configurable UAV flight models and supports operator training, mission execution, and performance evaluation, including mission planning, emergency procedures, contingency response training, and telemetry capture, replay, and mission performance analysis.

Designed for portability, the system can be deployed by two operators and transported in a standard vehicle, enabling flexible and scalable UAV training workflows that support readiness, repeatable mission execution, and safe operational training environments.

MANTIS® Image Generator and Sensor Simulation Platform

MANTIS® provides real-time image generation and physics-based sensor simulation for mission training environments, supporting EO/IR/NVG channels with correlated visual and sensor output. The system supports CDB terrain integration and scalable multi-channel deployment across distributed simulation systems, with advanced environmental effects including weather, terrain variation, and dynamic operational conditions.

Integrated viXsen and Quest2 sensor models enable per-pixel physics-based sensor rendering and post-processing effects such as noise, gain control, blur/sharpen, and sensor-specific imaging behaviors for realistic mission rehearsal.

Strategic Context: Synthetic Environments as AI Infrastructure

The defense and autonomy landscape is shifting, with simulation and synthetic environments increasingly embedded in AI development, validation, and operational workflows.

Rather than standalone training tools, they are becoming core infrastructure for developing and validating AI systems in physical domains.
