The latest version of MANTIS® comes with a rich new set of enhanced capabilities for both visual and sensor simulation and will be available on all current platforms including off-the shelf PCs running Windows or Linux, and Independence® IDX 9100, IDX 910, and IDX 91 series Image Generators equipped with MANTIS®.
INDEPENDENCE® IDX 91, IDX 910, IDX 9100: Quantum3D has completely refreshed its Image Generation hardware lineup to deliver unmatched performance, reliability, and durability. These advanced Image Generators are fully customizable to meet the unique requirements of any training simulator, from compact systems with three-channel flat panel displays to expansive dome simulators with up to 64 projectors.

We continue to offer three tiers of hardware, ensuring maximum flexibility to accommodate a wide range of display configurations.
- IDX91 is a single 4U PC with dual 8 core CPU (16 cores total), supporting up to 4 dual slot GPU’s or 5 single slot GPU’s – recommended for systems with five or less displays.
- IDX910 is a single 4U PC with dual 16 core CPU (32 cores total), supporting up to 8 dual slot GPU’s – recommended for systems with eight or less displays.
- IDX9100 is a multi-PC rack based system, comprising an IGC controller PC, plus multiple IGR91 or IGR910 rendering nodes configured to meet the display requirements.
MIXED REALITY (MR): In addition, Quantum3D also offers a Mixed Reality PC option using an NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU to drive a Varjo XR-4 HMD. This uses the same Mantis Visual Simulation software as the IDX range of hardware – which enables correlated visuals in hybrid training systems, where some trainees are viewing the scenario on a traditional dome, and others are viewing the same scenario in VR or MR through an HMD.
