Milpitas, CA – May 24, 2022 – Quantum3D, based in Silicon Valley, CA, and Orlando, FL, a leading developer, and manufacturer of real-time visual simulation systems, has completed an Image Generator Relocation of KC-10 simulator for the Airforce.
Quantum3D has been sub-contracted to assist in a move of the KC-10 trainer at Travis AFB. The KC-10 trainer has been using Quantum3D image generator and MANTIS image generation software to train boom operators in the KC-10.
Quantum3D’s roles that have been completed in this project:
- Moving the IG to a new location which required the disks and their images to be securely destroyed.
- Installing new disk drives, cold starting the IG, and ensuring the system was functional with the trainer.
- Providing support services at the site to install fresh disks and install images onto these disks.
- Providing a set of spare disks and a Cold Start procedure to the end-user.
