A Major US Spaceflight Company receives Quantum3D Visual Simulation and Training Technology System
Silicon Valley, CA – September 25, 2025 – Quantum3D, a Silicon Valley company with operations in Orlando, FL, has delivered a new Independence® IDX 910 Image Generator powered by the latest MANTIS® visual and sensor simulation software to a long-time a major U.S. commercial spaceflight customer in the continental United States.
The new IDX 910 Image Generator integrated with the existing dome and updated projectors to create a modern training environment for pilot instruction and proficiency. Powered by MANTIS shader-based, real-time scene management software and geo-specific worldwide environments, it supports a wide range of simulations—from instrument and cockpit familiarization to complex scenarios with special effects, sensors, weather, and dynamic lighting. Mission-critical features such as height-above-terrain and line-of-sight testing are also built in.
By leveraging the customer’s high-quality Quantum3D databases and 3D models—including detailed imagery of spaceship designs, buildings, hangars, and the spaceport—space pilots can train in real-world, geo-specific environments rendered with the performance, fidelity, and reliability of the latest IDX/MANTIS platform, delivering the most realistic simulation experience
and supporting the development of a space program capable of flying almost anyone to space and back safely.
