Quantum3D to Showcase Complete Training Solutions and New Partnerships at the I/ITSEC 2016 Conference

Quantum3D Shows Depth and Breadth with New Array of Capabilities for Providing a Full Training Experience in a Growing Number of Markets

Orlando, Fla. (I/ITSEC Booth #2435) – Nov. 28, 2016 – Quantum3D, a leading provider of training and simulation solutions for government and commercial applications, today announced that it will be at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando, Fla. from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 (OCCC West Concourse, booth #2435), showing several new training systems including a helicopter trainer, a maritime ship bridge trainer, a military mission rehearsal system, a forest-fire-fighting simulator, and new augmented reality technology for maintenance training applications.

“We are excited to be part of the 50-year celebration of innovation in global training and simulation,” said Pratish Shah, president, Quantum3D. “At this year’s I/ITSEC we will showcase the best in class training, simulation and technical capabilities for air, ground and maritime industries.”

Products on display will include a maritime ship’s bridge simulator developed by our partner company ARI Simulation. ARI Simulation specializes in Naval, Marine, Drilling, and other offshore training applications. Quantum3D and ARI Simulation will pursue opportunities of strategic and mutual interest within the U.S. and other markets.

The exhibit will also feature a compact helicopter training device developed in conjunction with Precision Flight Controls and its partner Ryan Aerospace. To enable the visual experience for this system, Quantum3D has developed an extension to the popular X-Plane flight simulator software package which allows X-Plane users to use Quantum3D’s MANTIS® for visual scene generation. This capability creates a unique opportunity to bring the best-in-class image quality of MANTIS into the market for low cost training devices and part-task trainers.

Quantum3D and HAVELSAN will be showing a suite of rehearsal solutions for Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT). Capabilities include a facility for taking drone-acquired video and rapidly turning that into a virtual training environment for mission rehearsal within hours. The system also has the ability to feed data into Command & Control, Weapons, and other systems for use in an actual military operation. This product is just one of many complete training solutions from HAVELSAN, including full-flight simulators, weapons trainers, and firefighting trainers, which Quantum3D is bringing to the U.S. market.

Offering a glimpse of future technology applications, Quantum3D will demonstrate an example use of Augmented Reality (AR) and image recognition technology in a remote assistance maintenance training scenario.

Quantum3D will show the latest capabilities of its industry-leading real-time image generation products, including the award-winning MANTIS scene management software which is now available in a fully-functional free version aimed at developers and potential customers. MANTIS will be shown running a new ultra-dense German visual database exploiting an exciting new feature: fully autonomous ground vehicle traffic showing realistic movement of hundreds of cars and trucks. The newest Independence® IDX 80 turn-key Image Generator product will be on display as well, which provides high-quality visual capabilities for full flight simulators with up to eight displays in the industry’s smallest package and at a compellingly low price point.
