Features and Benefits
-
Compact
The IDX 7000 achieves unmatched levels of visual computing density with the latest Intel processors, up to two NVIDIA Quadro 6000 "Fermi" GPUs and Quantum3D's Precision Video Synchronization in a compact 1U Rendering Unit (IGU). The IDX 7000 supports up to 4 video channels from a 1U rendering unit. The IDX 7000 is available with your choice of noise-suppressed rack: 12U, 18U, or 21U Transportable Case.
-
Reliable and Secure
The IDX 7000 uses an optional advanced Network-Attached Storage (NAS) for a single convenient connection to a centralized storage for all your database needs. The entire IDX 7000 IG can be diskless, which eases system administration. Remote storage makes changing security levels easier and hassle-free.
-
Application-Specific Options
The IDX 7000 offers application-specific options including Advanced Weather supporting volumetric clouds, storms, cloud shadows and layered fog, Advanced Marine with dynamic ocean, Rotorwash, Spotlights, RunwayFX, DI-Guy animated characters, SpeedTree 3D trees with dynamic wind effects and Real-time Shadows.
-
Open Architecture
The IDX 7000 supports industry-standard CIGI 3.x messaging protocol over dedicated Gigabit Ethernet and industry-standard database formats including OpenFlight®, NPSI, CDB, and CTDB.
-
Worldwide Database
The IDX 7000, combined with Quantum3D’s GeoScapeSE® WWDB (Worldwide Database), supports continuous worldwide flight over 15-meter geo-specific terrain. Using our CatalystSE™ DBGS (Database Generation System), customers can add their own high-resolution insets anywhere in the database.
-
Sensor Enabled
The IDX 7000 supports QUEST®2 and viXsen® for correlated, physics-based NVG, IR, Day Camera and EO Simulation applications and Stimulated NVG applications.
Applications
The Independence® IDX 7000 is the perfect candidate for military fixed- and rotary-wing, FAA Level-D, and JAR FSTD flight simulation, aerial refueling simulation, gunnery training, hardware-in-the-loop sensor simulation, ground vehicle simulation, fixed- and forward-based air traffic control, ship’s bridge simulation, mono & stereo scientific visualization, and virtual reality.
